Замокот "Кастело Сфорцеско"

Милано, Италија

The castle’s heritage date back to the middle of the 14th century, when the first nucleus was famous as the Castello di Porta Giovia and was used as a residence but mostly as a military defensive complex by Galeazzo II Visconti, Duke of Milano.

At the end of the fifteenth century, Leonardo da Vinci worked here, under the patronage of Ludovico il Moro. In 1450 it became the residence of Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan.

After considerable renovation, his celebrated wall painting in the Sala delle Asse was opened to the public on the 500th anniversary of his death. Today it is an art museum, and in its collection is the last sculpture by Michelangelo.
