
At the behest of the textile industrialist Josep Batillo, Antonio Gaudí completely changed the design of the house and renovated it in 1905. According to some, this impressive building, an example of modernism, reflects the triumphant victory of St. George above the dragon, so that the roof of the house looks like a dragon's back, and the tower - the cross of the saint. The first storey in the form of a loggia/covered gallery/ - an impressive stone structure with colored windows supported by columns. The multicolored mosaics are complemented by iron balconies in the shape of masks.
