Карпата на Кашел

Мунстер, Ирска

The Carpathia of Cashel is a historical landmark in the province of Munster, which until the Norman invasion served as the traditional seat of the kings of Munster. Some of the structures survived the attacks, but most of the buildings preserved to this day date from the 12th and 13th centuries. Cashel is famous as the place where St. Patrick, King of Munster, christened it in the 5th century. The complex represents one of the most remarkable examples of Celtic art and medieval architecture in all of Europe.
