The two leaning towers are one of the symbols of Bologna. Asinelli, built in 12th century, is 100 m high and has a slope of 1.3 m. The other - Garisenda, is from the 14th century, it is 49 m high, with a slope of 3 meters.

The two towers were built by two rich local families to symbolize their power and wealth.
