Мергуза

Мароко

Merzouga is a small village located in the south-eastern part of Morocco. It is known for being the closest settlement to the Erg Chebi watermelons. The village has the largest underground water basin in Morocco. The inhabitants of the village are Berbers. The women are mainly engaged in agriculture, and the men breed camels, which are used by tourists. Interestingly, the men spend about eight months in the desert and do not see their families for months.
