Регионалната галерија во Дворецот Беломо е создадена во 1940 г., кога колекциите на средновековната и на современата уметност се разделени од колекциите на националниот археолошки музеј во Сиракуза. Експонантите од различен квалитет и уметничка вредност го претставуваат развитокот на ликовната уметност во Сиракуза и целата југоисточна провинција на островот Сицилија. The museum is located in the prestigious Belomo Palace, which is distinguished by its 12th century architecture. From that period, the facade with its harsh structure has been preserved, on which the German imperial symbol - an eagle, still stands. The museum underwent several reconstructions: in the 14th century, in the 15th century, when the influential and wealthy Belomo family bought it and reconstructed it for the needs of the residential palace, in the 18th century it was sold to the sisters of the monastery of Saint Benedict, who connected it with the building of the palace by Parisio, from the 14th century. It was not until 1901 that the building was bought by the Office of History and Fine Arts, restored and turned into a museum.
