The New Pinakothek in Munich is a museum of European art from the 19th century. It is located in the so-called A neighborhood of the arts is a connective tissue between the Old Pinakothek, where the works of the old masters are exhibited, and the Pinakothek of Contemporary Art with works from the 20th and 21st centuries. The New Pinakothek ("pinakothek" in Greek means "hall of pictures" or "collection of pictures") offers an overview of European art from the Age of Enlightenment from the beginning of Modernism, i.e. it covers the period from the end of the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century. The fund of the museum includes more than 6000 works. Here you can see paintings and sculptures from different directions in art - classicism, romanticism, art nouveau and impressionism.
