Revolution Square, located in the capital of Cuba, Havana, is the thirty-first largest square in the world (72,000 square meters). It is known that political rallies take place there. The square is dominated by the Jose Martini memorial, a tower (109 meters) and a statue (18 meters). Conceived by the French mayor Jean-Claude Forest in the 20s of the last century, the square was part of the "new city" of the capital. In the month of January 1998, soon one million believers gathered in the square to hear the Mass of Pope John Paul II.
