Born in 1893, Juan Miro became one of the most famous modernist artists of the 20th century, who gained world fame with his unusual and abstract ideas. The foundation building was built in 1975, according to the project of arch. Joseph Louis Sert, a close friend of Juan Miro. More than 10,000 of his works are on display here, including sketches, paintings, graphics and sculptures. Temporary exhibitions of other contemporary Spanish and foreign artists are also often presented.
