Generalife is a garden in Almeria. In the past it was the summer residence of the Sultans of Granada from the Nasrid dynasty. It is located on a hill, which is close to the Alhambra palace, together with which, as well as the Albaicin settlement, are included in the list of UNESCO's world cultural heritage. The Generalife Palace and its gardens were created during the reign of Sultan Muhammad III (1302-1309) and rebuilt a little later under the reign of Sultan Ismail I (1313-1324).
