"Santa Croce" (XIII century) is one of the oldest churches in the city, in which 276 well-known residents of Florence are buried. Nearby stands the statue of Dante. During seven centuries, the most famous names of Italian art worked here, including Giotto, Donatello, Canova, Bartolini, Arnolfo di Cambio. From the outside, the French church resembles a cross in the form of the letter "T". Galileo Galilei, Rossini, Machiavelli, Michelangelo and other famous personalities are buried in the church. The Pazzi Chapel is the work of Brunelleschi.
