Црквата „Св. Богородица” во Улм

Улм, Германија

The church "St. Mother of God" in Ulm is the largest evangelical church in Germany. Its foundations were laid in 1377, when the city was still Catholic.

After the Reformation, the population of Ulm turned to Protestantism and the church became evangelical. The construction of the temple was carried out in two long stages. During the first (1377 – 1543) the main part was built. In the second stage (1844 – 1890) the interior was finished and the western tower was completed. The height of the tower reaches 161.53 m, which makes it the tallest church tower in the world.
