The Radio and Television Tower "Rhein" is the most famous landmark in Dusseldorf, designed by the architect H. Deilmann and built in the period 1979 - 1982. At a height of 172.5 meters there is a restaurant with 144 seats, which rotates on its axis once every 72 minutes in one direction, from 12:00 - 17:30 and from 18:30 - 01:00 in the other, due to technical reasons. The tower also includes an observation platform at a height of 168 meters with a snack bar and evening seating, from which wonderful views of the city can be found.
